Merchandise Planner (Retail & E-Commerce)

As a Merchandise Planner you will be driving the business by creating the right product offer, in the right quantities, at the right time at the various brands points of sale. You ensure the promotion and availability of the product is optimal to drive sell-through and maximize profability. You will have a focus on planning & merchandising and maintain a strong relationship on different levels of the brands organization.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Monitors and analysis performance and take initiatives to maximize sell through and turnover;
  • Responsible for forecasting, planning, replenishment and managing inventory based on KPI’s and sell-through information;
  • Build the analytical base for all retail and e-commerce assortment and replenishment decisions;
  • Responsible for developing the merchandise plans in cooperation with the responsible teams of the brands. Ensures the right balance between demand drivers, volume drivers and strategic initiatives;
  • Seasonal assortment planning for NOS and seasonal products in collaboration with key account and retail management;
  • Takes responsibility for the full logistic process from the warehouse to the stores display;
  • Ensures a good level of communication, excellent services and support towards the teams of the brands;
  • Works on the strategic plan for all brands as well as connected e-commerce wholesale accounts and builds the analytical base for commercial decisions;
  • Collects customer and market feedback and communicates this back into the organization;
  • Prepare and participate at all brand meetings (e.g. sell-in, business updates, budget, etc.);
  • Build the budget for all brand retail assortments in the channels full-price, outlet and e-com in alignment with the brand and account strategy;
  • Debtor management and other operational tasks.

What is required?

  • Degree in business studies and distinctive analytical, planning and commercial skills;
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Retail/Brand business (ideally in a Retail and Merchandise function);
  • Specific experience in planning and allocation (ideally in a fashion brand) environment is requested;
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written);
  • Strong experience in Excel;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Knowledge of the ECR concept is preferred;
